At this time EHDC don’t want to encourage people to make non-essential journeys and are concerned that if they offer free parking some people might make unnecessary trips.

Therefore they are continuing to charge for their car parks but will keep this under review.

Key workers however are entitled to free parking and this includes workers to essential services such as pharmacies and supermarkets.
